5000 Women Tested. 5000 Voices Heard

5000 Women Tested. 5000 Voices Heard

is a virtual testing challenge to encourage Black women to ELEVATE their conversation, power and learning by taking control of their health, obtaining the facts about HIV and getting tested to know their HIV status.

Join the ELEVATE Movement!

Become one of the 5,000 Black women who are ELEVATING. To participate in the challenge, you can:

  1. ELEVATE Your Power. One of the best ways to take control of your health is to get tested and know your HIV status. Click here to find HIV testing locations in your area. Simply, enter your zip code and you will receive a list of testing centers near you.
Or text your zip code to KNOWIT (566948)
or call CDC INFO 24 hours a day at 1-800-CDC-INFO (232-4636).

  1. ELEVATE Your Voice. Black women have a long history of transforming the lives of others through coming together and sharing their stories. After you get tested, click here to upload a video of you sharing your testing experience or your message encouraging other to get tested. Each month, we will feature a different video or story on our Web site. Your voice could help encourage other women to ELEVATE their power by getting tested.

  1. ELEVATE the Conversation. One of the best ways to fight the HIV epidemic is to educate ourselves and then share what we have learned with our friends, partners and family members. Click here to get more information about HIV/AIDS and how you can help stop the spread of HIV in our community.
ELEVATE
is about more than just talking!

It’s also about taking ACTIONS that help you take charge of your health and helping someone you love do the same. ELEVATE the conversation on HIV today and tell us what you’re doing.
