When was the last time you "really" thought about yourself – your feelings, passions, dislikes, dreams and, yes, shortcomings? It's hard to examine ourselves closely, looking for those smudges on the mirror. It's even more difficult to follow through on making much needed changes (read: personal growth opportunities).

Reading an affirmation may be just the small dose of inspiration that you need. They're great because they allow us to reflect, self-examine, renew and strengthen our inner spirit without stressing us out.
